Earlier, the Ehsaas rehabilitation project was stopped by the Shehbaz Sharif government in Islamabad. Prime Minister Imran Khan was worried about this and cared deeply about the poor citizens. When the government of Dr. Sania Nishtar came, they promised to restore it. He discussed the Ehsaas stretcher project in the committee meeting and Imran Khan is also thinking about increasing the Ehsaas emergency cash amount.

The scheme was initially introduced in Sector G-10 and G-11 centers of Islamabad, which effectively limits its application to the federal city only. PTI Chairman Imran Khan has pledged that after coming to power, he intends to extend this initiative to all provinces of Pakistan.
