Overview of the Kisan Loan Program

Punjab Government has started registration of farmers under the CM Kisan Card Scheme for the provision of interest-free money loans. In the first phase, Kisan Cards will be distributed to eligible people from September 1, 2024. Eligibility Criteria for Farmers
Eligibility Criteria for Kisan Loan Scheme 2024. The Punjab government has made some rules for the Kissan Loan program. If you meet these conditions, you can apply for a loan.

- Kisan must be a resident of Punjab
- You should have at least two acres of land.
- You should not have defaulted on any bank loan.

How to Apply for the Kisan Loan Program
Farmers who wish to register for the Kissan Loan Program should visit their nearest Tehsil Office as soon as possible to complete their registration. The representative there will register you using the PITB Kisan online web portal. You must bring your National Identity Card and a copy of your land documents.
After registering, visit your nearest bank in Punjab to submit the challan form. The Punjab government has fixed the challan fee of Rs. 2000 for the Kisan Loan Programme. After paying this fee, your details will be verified. If eligible, you will be given an agricultural loan of up to Rs.2 lakh.
